About the event
MSPIFF is Minnesota’s only international film festival and among the country's largest and longest-running film festivals. MSPIFF40 will showcase 100+ feature-length and 50+ short, bold and exciting new films by emerging and veteran
filmmakers representing more than 100 cultures from around the globe.
MSPIFF40 will be a hybrid festival. Films, filmmaker conversations, and panels will be presented primarily in the virtual world, complemented by exciting outdoor events and screenings to ease us back into a more ‘normal’ world.
Films and conversations will be available for viewing at MSPFILM.ORG/festivals/MSPIFF.
In 2021, MSPIFF honors the eminent, politically-minded, and multi-award-winning Polish screenwriter/director, AGNIESZKA HOLLAND, with our Milgrom International Auteur Tribute. Milgrom International Auteur Tribute We pay tribute to a filmmaker whose work is recognized at a global level, who has made significant contributions to the medium of feature filmmaking in either fiction or nonfiction and whose artistic talents, as writer/director, have been instrumental in promoting higher regard for the art of film internationally. This Tribute presents a focused retrospective (TBD) of the honoree’s work, a new film by the honoree, and a
live interactive conversation with the honoree.
